Massachusetts free medication recycling image (jpeg)became the first state in the country to require drug companies to provide a means for consumers to safely dispose of unwanted medications.

Please NEVER dispose of unused or expired drugs by flushing them or tossing them in the trash, so we can prevent them from entering waterways and drinking water, as well as preventing drug abuse and accidental drug ingestion-related harm.

This applies to BOTH prescription and over-the-counter drugs.

The Town of Dennis Police Station, located at 90 Bob Crowell Road, South Dennis, MA has a disposal bin with instructions in its lobby.  In addition, several local pharmacies have disposal bins.  Click the following link for area kiosks to dispose of unwanted medications:  Medical waste disposal kiosks

PLEASE do your part to help with this important effort! It's easy to do and makes a big difference.

Plastic bags and film packaging are important durable and lightweight protection for food and merchandise in transit. But these materials SHOULD NOT be recycled in most curbside carts or single stream programs. Thankfully, many grocers and retailers and some communities provide specific collection bins for bags and film to be recycled separately from other recyclables.  Local drop off bins can be found at area Ocean State Job Lots, Shaws supermarkets, and Stop and Shop supermarkets.  For further information on the Nextrex recycling program please click on either of the images below:
